This section of my website serves as an archive of various guides that used to be available on Nvidia's GeForce website. Please go to page 2 for a more detailed explanation of the reason for creating this archive.

Early on in the process of archiving the Tweakguides website, I noticed that Koroush's Skyrim Tweak Guide had vanished from the GeForce website (you can try this yourself if you like: If you try to open the original web page (https://www.geforce.com/Optimize/Guides/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-tweak-guide), you will get a 404 error). From there, I progressively found more and more material that was no longer available. The reason is that at some point, Nvidia decided to stop maintaining a separate website under GeForce.com and have everything on their Nvidia.com domain. This meant that anything on GeForce.com had to be moved over and then previous URLs had to redirect to the new locations. I suspect that while doing this, the now missing material either didn't get moved or they were but their redirects weren't set up correctly.

As a result of this, I decided that these missing guides needed to be archived as well. However, I didn't want to simply copy-paste the web pages as-is onto my website. The 5 goals I had were:

• Archive the contents of the original guides.
• Fix any bugs that had developed since the guides were published. An example of such is the slider comparison that some guides had which doesn't work on the originals anymore. Compare this slider to my archived copy for an example.
• Clean up the website's scripting & markup.
• Cure any Link rot that has appeared since publication.
• Remove extraneous data such as the "Featured News" sidebar.
• Make the comment section loads up only if the user wants to see it and not because the user scrolled the page.

The 3rd goal was hampered by the originals having very messy markup that was virtually impossible to decipher, had tons of validation errors and loaded with unneeded scripting and markup. To solve this problem, I created a new webpage template from scratch that looked and behaved like the original. Except now, it is neat & tidy, passes validation and has only the markup and scripting that was required. From there, all that was required was adding the contents of each article.

Note that this is not intended to be a complete archive of every article and guide that was published on the GeForce website. Instead, it is supposed to be about preserving guides that are both not available anymore as well as being either referenced by Koroush on Tweakguides or relatively popular before the disappearance.
