This mod skips the three videos that play every time you start the game, ensuring that the game goes straight to the main menu.

FAQ

• Why did you create this mod? What makes it better than the other Skip Intro mods?

• There are two advantages I can think of (and hence, the reasons I created it):

1. At least one of the Skip Intro mods I've seen is implemented by coring the game's videos database with the intro videos removed. The problem with this approach is that it makes the mod incompatible with any future patches that change this database, as well as any mods that edit it.
   • Conversely, my mod skips those videos by replacing them with blank videos that end around 80 milliseconds after starting.
2. I have noticed what appears to be a bug in the Total War launcher. If you have two (or more) different Total War games that each have separate mods with the same names installed and activated, launching one of them will cause all mods with the same name for the other games to become deactivated.
   • My mod works around this bug by giving it a game-specific name.

• You can just press Esc.

• You are welcome to prove, beyond reasonable doubt, that pressing Esc every time you start the game is objectively better than installing this mod (or any other) which nullifies this requirement.
• Otherwise, no one is forcing you to install this mod (or any other). If you are happy with pressing Esc every time you start the game, you are more than welcome to continue doing so and I have no intention of taking that away from you. However, please acknowledge that there are some fans of this game (including myself) who find this annoying, and are happier having mods like this available. Please don't rain on our parade.

• I'm using the Epic Games version of this game. How can I install this mod?

• Check the top of this readme for any links to mirrors where the mod can be downloaded outside the Steam Workshop. After that, check the installation instructions to install and activate the mod.

• Why do you have [Warhammer2] in the mod's name?

Requirements

None, other than a copy of Total War: Warhammer 2.

Installation instructions

1. If you are using the Steam version of this game, just subscribe to the mod and the game will automatically download the mod's files.
2. Otherwise, download and extract the archive you downloaded from Nexus Mods wherever your user account has write access, using 7-zip or your favourite archive extraction program. After that, copy the extracted files to the <Location you installed the game>/data folder.
3. In either case, start Total War: Warhammer 2, which will open the Total War Launcher. Click on the Mod Manager button.
4. Look through the list of mods until you find the entry for my one (Skip Intro Videos [Warhammer2]). If the toggle switch in the Active column is black and to the left, click on it to switch it to active.
5. You can also use the Load order column to change the load order by dragging-and-dropping. However, this is unnecessary unless you have installed other mods that also edit the intro videos.
6. After that, launch the game once to save the mod configuration.

Upgrade instructions

If you are using the Steam Workshop version, the game should automatically install updates. You may have to unsubscribe then re-subscribe if this is not the case.

Otherwise, download the latest version then overwrite the currently installed version with the updated one.

Uninstallation instructions

If you are using the Steam Workshop version, unsubscribe and the mod will then be uninstalled the next time you start the game.

Otherwise, open the <Location you installed the game>/data folder, then delete all the files you installed.
